As a Planner / Scheduler Crew Control (Crewing Officer) you are responsible for the planning and schedules of our crews within 72 hours before departure.

With our flexible shifts (24/7), you have the opportunity to make the most of your free time. Do you like the gym? We have one on location that you can use before you start your workday or after you're done. Do you like to travel? Here you can take advantage of our last-minute discounted flights and be back in time to start your next shift.

You'll start with a 12-month contract, so you even have the chance to decide if TUI is for you! If we agree, you will convert to a permanent contract within your first year.

This is a part time role equating to 60%. You'll be based fully onsite at our office in Rijswijk (Netherlands) where you will work together (virtually) with your enthusiastic colleagues from TUI fly in Belgium and TUI Airways in the UK.

ABOUT OUR OFFER

• Salary depends on experience. But in any case, we always do our best to make a suitable offer. You will also receive a shift allowance.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Your main goal is to find the best possible and most efficient solutions in case of changing crew compositions and changes in flight operations. You ensure that the continuity of the operation is guaranteed.  You know that happy crew makes for happy passengers. So you try to keep the impact on published crew schedules to a minimum and always consider the operational costs and flight safety
• As a Crewing Officer you are responsible for a daily briefing to the Operational Control Center in England from the Crewing departments in Belgium and the Netherlands
• You proactively monitor the operation and ensure that all changes in the flight schedule or composition of the crews are understood and attended to. Because of you, there will be no disruption in the flight operation in terms of crew!
• You keep the Crew management system up-to-date so that the Flight Operations management has a clear overview of the crew at all times
• You ensure that Hotac & Travel is aware of all changes in the composition of the crew. They can then make the necessary adjustments for the hotels and crew transport.

ABOUT YOU

• You have a higher education or equivalent through experience
• You are looking for a great part time role (60%)
• Experience with planning or logistics is highly regarded. We like people who "bring" something, but it's not a requirement
• You like a bit of a challenge. You always bring your tasks to a successful conclusion, even in difficult conditions and under pressure. Because aviation is dynamic you can go from 0 to take-off power in 10 seconds
• You are flexible, set priorities, are empathetic and can adapt yourself when different challenging situations arise
• You are structured, have an eye for detail, like to plan and work accurately. You understand that the crew schedules have to be right
• You have good communication skills and understand that this is necessary to form that "leading team" with crew members and other departments in the TUI organisation (also internationally)
• You are eager to learn, quite curious and happy to upskill
• You’re happy to work shifts (day – night) and weekends. Because that means you still have a lot of free time around your work
• You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing).

Als Planner / Scheduler Crew Control (Crewing Officer) ben je verantwoordelijk voor de planning en roosters van onze crews binnen 72 uur voor vertrek. Je werkt vanuit ons kantoor te Rijswijk en doet dit samen met je enthousiaste collega's van TUI fly in Belgie en TUI fly UK.

Met onze flexibele ploegendiensten (24/7) heb je de mogelijkheid om het meeste uit je vrije tijd te halen. Hou je van de sportschool? We hebben er een op locatie die je kan gebruiken voordat je aan je werkdag begint of nadat je klaar bent. Hou je van reizen? Hier kan je  profiteren van onze last-minute vluchten met korting en op tijd terug zijn om aan je volgende dienst te beginnen.

Je begint met een contract van 12 maanden, dus je hebt zelfs de kans om te beslissen of TUI iets voor jou is! Als we het met elkaar eens zijn, zet je binnen je eerste jaar om in een vast contract. 

WAT GA JE DOEN?

• Je belangrijkste doel is het vinden van de best mogelijke en meest efficiënte oplossingen in geval van wijzigende crewsamenstellingen en bij veranderingen in de vlieg operatie. Je zorgt ervoor dat de continuïteit van de operatie gewaarborgd blijft.  Jij weet dat tevreden crew zorgt voor blije passagiers. Dus je probeert de impact op de reeds bekendgemaakte dienstroosters van de bemanningsleden zo beperkt mogelijk te houden, maar verliest de operationele kosten en flight safety hierbij niet uit het oog.   
• Als Crewing Officer ben je verantwoordelijk voor een dagelijkse briefing vanuit de Crewing afdelingen in België en Nederland naar het Operationele Control Center in Engeland.
• Je monitort proactief de operatie en zorgt ervoor dat alle veranderingen in het vluchtschema of samenstelling van de crews opgevangen worden. Door jou ontstaan er geen verstoring in de vliegoperatie op crewgebied!
• Je houdt het Crew management systeem up-to-date zodat het Flight Operations management te allen tijde een duidelijk overzicht van de crew heeft.
• Je zorgt er voor dat Hotac & Travel op de hoogte is van alle wijzigingen in de samenstelling van de crew. Zij kunnen dan de nodige aanpassingen voor de hotels en crew transport doorvoeren.

WIE BEN JIJ?

• Je hebt een hogere opleiding of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
• Je zoekt een leuke functie van 60%.
• Ervaring met planning of logistiek is fijn. We houden van mensen die wat “meebrengen”, maar het is niet een vereiste.
• Je houdt best een beetje van uitdagingen. Je brengt je taken altijd tot een goed einde. Zelfs in moeilijke omstandigheden en onder druk. Want luchtvaart is dynamisch. Van 0 naar take-off power in 10 seconden.
• Je bent flexibel, stelt prioriteiten, bent empathisch en kan jezelf aanpassen als verschillende uitdagende situaties zich voordoen.
• Je bent gestructureerd, hebt oog voor details, houdt van plannen en werkt nauwkeurig. Jij snapt dat de crewroosters moeten kloppen.
• Je hebt goede communicatieve vaardigheden en begrijpt dat dit nodig is om met bemanningsleden en andere afdelingen in de TUI-organisatie (ook internationaal) dat “leading team” te vormen.
• Je bent leergierig, best een beetje nieuwsgierig en zelf leerzaam.
• Je vindt het leuk om in ploegen shifts (dag – nacht) en het weekend te werken. Want daardoor heb je juist rondom je werk nog veel vrije tijd.
• Je hebt een zeer goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels(zowel mondeling als schriftelijk).
