Process Excellence Intern (End of Year Internship)

We are looking for a Data Science expert for the Process Excellence Team for TUI Global Business Services (TGBS). In TGBS, more than 500 colleagues across multiple countries provide transactional finance services (accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and general ledger processes) for the various TUI legal entities worldwide. The TGBS Process Excellence Team works together with the process owners and the delivery teams in these four areas to continuously make our processes better, faster, more reliable, and more efficient

ABOUT THE JOB 

• Set up data transformation solutions based on Microsoft Power Query (either in Microsoft Excel, Power BI or as the backend behind other tools from the Microsoft Power platform) to perform typical Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) activities.
• Work together with the subject matter experts who identify the opportunities and provide the requirements and to then build the technical solutions.
• Get involved in learning & understanding activities towards our TGBS workforce to spread a wider knowledge about Power Query, what it can offer and which types of tasks & processes it can support with
• Work with the graphical user interface of the Power Query Editor as well as coding knowledge in MS Power Query’s programming language “M”. 

ABOUT YOU

• Final Year Student
• Very good understanding of data structures, database logics and principles
• Experience or willingness to proactively learn how to develop solutions in the Power Query editor – depending on the candidate’s previous experience with the tool.
• Exceptional analytical mind and problem-solving skills, ability to understand process issues and to conclude on acceptable solutions
• Articulate communicator and strong facilitation skills, able to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders
• An engaging can-do mindset that overcomes difficulties and identifies possibilities to automate and simplify processes
• Proficient in MS Office products
• Fluent in English, other languages (Spanish, German) are a plus
• interacting with the stakeholders to understand requirements, implement them, obtain feedback and act upon it until a fit-for-purpose solution has been built.
