ABOUT THE JOB

Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries and the main force for development and prosperity in many parts of the world. Every holiday leaves an impression – in our hearts, but also on the environment. We use our scale and influence for the sustainable transformation of travel. We, the TUI Group Sustainability team, lead the work on this, based on our TUI Sustainability Agenda - People, Planet, Progress. In order to deliver on this, you will be part of this amazing team and work on the following: 

• Sustainability Upskilling

  • Support our team in creating the TUI Sustainability Academy to drive TUI’s sustainability transformation

  • As part of our strategic building block "People", we are keen to upskill as many colleagues as possible in sustainability. We want to give people the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills so they can actively contribute to driving the sustainable transformation of TUI. You will be part to fulfill this in every aspect - conduct research, work on the operational side with key stakeholders like the Learning & Development department and create content for the Academy.

  • Research how Sustainability content is ideally delivered to have a lasting impact on TUI colleagues

  • Opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops and training courses yourself

• General

  • Support in implementing other strategic projects, work with the project management team together and help create communication materials, presentation slides & preparing meetings. 

ABOUT YOU

• You are completing a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of environmental or sustainability management, business, HR management, tourism or similar disciplines. 

• You have initial practical experience in the area of tourism, HR (focus on people development) or sustainability. 

• You are open-minded, curious and a lifelong learner. 

• You have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of German is an advantage.

• You are familiar with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. 

• You have a strong interest in one or more of the following topics: all social aspects of ESG, people development, reporting processes, sustainable transformation, learning concepts. 

• You have an aptitude for working effectively with colleagues across different business functions, countries, and cultural backgrounds, and you thrive in virtual and international team environments.

• You have a hands-on work mentality with analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Im Rahmen unseres strategischen Bausteins "People" möchten wir so viele Kolleginnen und Kollegen wie möglich im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit weiterbilden. Wir wollen den Menschen die Möglichkeit geben, ihr Wissen und ihre Fähigkeiten zu erweitern, damit sie aktiv zur nachhaltigen Transformation von TUI beitragen können. Du wirst vielfältig daran mitwirken – Recherchen durchführen, operativ mit wichtigen Stakeholdern wie der Abteilung Learning &  Development zusammenarbeiten und Inhalte für die Academy erstellen.

• Recherchen erstellen, wie Nachhaltigkeitsinhalte idealerweise vermittelt werden, um einen langfristigen Effekt bei den TUI Mitarbeitenden zu bewirken.

• Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung anderer strategischer Projekte, Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projektmanagementteam und Hilfe bei der Erstellung von Kommunikationsmaterialien, Präsentationsfolien und der Vorbereitung von Sitzungen. 

ZU DIR

• Du absolvierst derzeit ein Bachelor- oder Masterstudium im Bereich Umwelt- oder Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement, Wirtschaft, Personalmanagement, Tourismus oder ähnlichen Fachrichtungen.

• Du hast erste praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich Tourismus, Personalwesen (Schwerpunkt Personalentwicklung) oder Nachhaltigkeit.

• Du hast ein starkes Interesse an einem oder mehreren der folgenden Themen: alle sozialen Aspekte von ESG, Personalentwicklung, Berichtsprozesse, nachhaltige Transformation, Lernkonzepte.

• Du hast die Fähigkeit, effektiv mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus verschiedenen Geschäftsbereichen, Ländern und kulturellen Hintergründen zusammenzuarbeiten und blühst in virtuellen und internationalen Teamumgebungen auf.

• Du hast eine praxisorientierte Arbeitsmentalität mit analytischen und problemlösenden Fähigkeiten.

• Du bist aufgeschlossen, neugierig und ein lebenslanger Lerner.

• Du hast ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Englisch (gesprochen und geschrieben). Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil, aber keine Grundvoraussetzung.

• Du bist mit Microsoft Office, insbesondere PowerPoint und Excel, vertraut.
