Working Student / Internship (m/f/d) - Sustainability Technology

Start Date: 1st to 15th April 2025 (flexible start dates possible)

As a Working Student or Intern, you will have the opportunity to actively help us deliver our sustainability technology strategy and promote the responsible use of IT across the TUI Group. An explicit IT background is not required, but a data-driven mindset is essential. This position can also be combined with a bachelor’s or master’s thesis.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Support an international team working with ESG data across TUI and assist with creating interactive dashboards, derive trends and create reports using our business intelligence tool Tableau.

• Assist in measuring carbon emissions within our IT operations by conducting data collection, analysis and methodology research.

• Research how technology can drive and support sustainability transformation within TUI, what key trends are emerging in the industry and what developments in the area of technological sustainability are most urgent. 

• Support in the implementation of strategic projects of the sustainability technology strategy. Support in the creation of communication materials and presentation slides. 

• Opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops and training courses. 

ABOUT YOU

• You are completing a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of environmental or sustainability management, data science, business, IT, engineering or similar disciplines. 

• You have initial practical experience in the area of sustainability data or technology.

• You have a strong interest in one or more of the following topics: ESG data and analysis, circular economy, green tech innovations, carbon footprint measurement and reduction scenarios, or related areas. 

• You have basic knowledge of GHG protocol and SBTi.

• You have an aptitude for working effectively with colleagues across different business functions, countries, and cultural backgrounds, and you thrive in virtual and international team environments.

• You have a hands-on work mentality with analytical and problem-solving skills.

• You can work independently and in a remote environment  

• You are open-minded, curious and a lifelong learner. 

• You have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of German is an advantage. You are familiar with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
