Which bases are you recruiting for?

TBD (MUC, STR, FRA, DUS, HAJ)

What type of contract is it?

All contracts are initially limited to 12 or 24 months. (MUC STR FRA HAJ DUS). There is a prospect of continued employment and will be examined at the end of the fixed-term contract.

What months will I work?

If you are successful in the selection process, your basic course will start in January or February and ends in March. After successful completion of the course, there will be an assignment according to the duty roster.

What happens if I'm unable to start in January/February?

If you are unable to attend one of the introductory courses from January/February, we will unfortunately be unable to include you in the rest of the application process.

What can I expect from the training?

The basic courses are held full-time and last about 8 weeks. In these courses, you will receive safety and emergency training, product and service training, a first aid course and gain insights into our guest care and service on board. They include theoretical and practical content, and your learning progress is checked in tests. In your free time, you are expected to study regularly.

What happens if I have pre-booked holiday and holiday request?

We cannot guarantee that the leave can be approved, as holiday entitlement can only be claimed after a waiting period of 6 months according to our collective agreement.

Which routes will I be flying?

All our crew members fly short and medium haul routes according to our route network. Not every destination is served from every station. An assignment is made by our crew planning by means of a duty roster.

What does a typical roster look like?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exemplary service plan, as this is created individually for each of our crew members by our crew planning. However, a roster is made up of flights, standbys and training. On average, however, you have 11 days off per month, often 3-6 days consecutively.

What is the salary/bonus ect?

In accordance with the current collective wage agreement, each cabin crew member starts at the start of the contract in salary level CA 1, which corresponds to a total of € 2,422,99 (consisting of basic salary, flight allowance 1 and flight allowance 2). In addition, there are the monthly variable salary components such as additional flight hours, on-board sales fees and statutory expenses.

What are my weekly working hours?

This depends on your duty roster and will always be made available to you on the 15th of the previous month.

Can my contract be extended?

Our contracts are always fixed-term. Toward the end of the contract period, we conduct an internal review to determine whether the employment relationship can be continued.

How long does it take to apply for a senior Cabin Crew position?

There is no general answer to this question, as it depends on when senior cabin crew positions are advertised again. There are currently no Senior Cabin Crew Member vacancies at TUI fly.

I have already completed a basic course with another airline, can I be credited for this?

Unfortunately no, at TUI fly you have to go through the complete Initial Course (basic course) in order to receive your Cabin Crew Attestation, regardless of previous experience or existing attestation.

Do I need to be covid vaccinated?

No, but we advocate a general willingness to be vaccinated according to the recommendations of the WHO.
