Join TUI Hotels & Resorts as Sous Chef in our TUI BLUE Makarska, Igrane, Croatia, where you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in supervising and coordinating the kitchen team, ensuring high food quality, smooth daily kitchen operations, and high levels of guest satisfaction.

All applicants must be fluent in both English and Croatian. Due to work permit restrictions, applicants must be from a European Union country.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Prepares the kitchen for operation in cooperation with the Head Chef (kitchen area and equipment, auxiliary storage, refrigeration units, workforce planning, etc.)
• Supervises kitchen operations, including staff work schedules, consistency of food quality, overall efficiency, and general hygiene
• Ensures the most rational and cost-effective operations and follows all company standards, rules, decisions, and plans, as well as TUI BLUE brand standards
• Ensures adherence to the established menu cycle and is responsible for the quality and presentation of all meals served
• Controls all stages of food preparation
• Ensures that employees use the agreed measurements as planned in recipes, production instructions, and menus

ABOUT YOU

• VKV qualification
• At least three years of experience in the same or similar positions
• Knowledge of English language in speaking and writing
• Innovation and creativity in the kitchen
• Motivated, responsible and communicative person with strong leadership, organizational and business management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office package
