The Interview: On The Day

You’ve done your research about TUI, reviewed the job description one last time, and started reflecting on the great achievements you’d like to share! But what will the interview look like? Let us guide you through it!

1. Opening the Interview

We’ll begin with introductions and an overview of how the interview will flow. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable and ensure you know what to expect.

2. Initial Questions

To start, we’ll give you the opportunity to tell us more about yourself and what inspired you to apply for this role. Once you’re settled, we’ll move into the assessed part of the interview.

3. The Assessed Stage - Questions

Our interviews include a combination of competency-based and potential-based questions. Here’s what that means:

Competency-based questions: We’ll ask for specific examples from your past experiences to help us understand if you already have the skills and behaviours required for the role.

Potential-based questions: These focus on your abilities, work style, and preferences rather than just experience. It’s your chance to highlight your transferable skills and show us what you can achieve in the future.

4. The Assessed Stage - Task

During this part of the interview, we might also ask you to complete an activity and share your insights. If this is the case, we’ll let you know in advance so you can feel fully prepared.

5. Closing the Interview

At the end of the interview, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any final questions. We’ll also outline the next steps and let you know when you can expect to hear from us. We understand waiting can be challenging, and we appreciate your patience!

6. Your Adjustment Needs Matter

At TUI, we value the unique skills, perspectives, and contributions of individuals with disabilities. We are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process that supports and empowers all candidates.

If you have any adjustment needs, please let us know ahead of your interview. If you’ve already informed us during the application process, rest assured we’ll make the necessary arrangements. Our aim is to provide a positive experience and ensure you have everything you need to succeed.
