Meet our Cabin Crew Assessment Team
Meet the faces behind your Cabin Crew interview
Ever wondered who's sitting across from you at a TUI Cabin Crew assessment? They're not just interviewers - they're people who've lived the role, created unforgettable moments at 30,000 feet, and know exactly what it takes to thrive in the skies.
Our UK Cabin Crew Assessment team doesn't just tick boxes during interviews. They bring real experience from the cabin to every conversation, helping spot the spark in candidates who could be perfect for life with TUI. Over the winter months, they meet hopeful faces, hear inspiring stories, and play a key role in building the next generation of our flying family.
We spoke with the team to learn about their own journeys as crew, and the advice they'd give to anyone dreaming of joining our team.
Suzanne
With over 27 years at TUI under her belt, Suzanne's journey is proof that a career in the skies can take you further than you might imagine. Since joining in February 1999, she's progressed to Cabin Manager, been part of the exciting 787 Dreamliner launch crew, and now shares her passion for the role as a Cabin Crew Assessor with our Recruitment team.
For the past six years, Suzanne's been helping spot potential in candidates during assessment days - and it's a part of her role she genuinely loves. "I enjoy meeting candidates and sharing my own experiences of life and career opportunities within TUI," she says. "I love being able to tell them about my career highlights and show them that a Cabin Crew career can develop into so much more than they may initially imagine." As a proud TUI ambassador who lives our values every day, Suzanne's still discovering new opportunities after more than two decades with us - and that's exactly what makes her story so inspiring for anyone taking their first steps towards joining our team.
Ashley
Being part of the Recruitment Team has been a new and exciting experience for me. I've learnt so much about what TUI means to other people. It amazes me how many thousands of people apply for the job every year and want to be part of TUI! I like to think I make it personal and an enjoyable experience for every single person I see during the recruitment process.
Michael
Before taking to the skies, Michael spent five incredible years as a TUI Rep, living and working across some seriously enviable destinations between 2015 and 2020. From the beaches of Spain and Greece to the landscape of Iceland, he worked his way up to Team Leader before the pandemic brought him back to the UK. "Although I initially planned to go back overseas, I kind of settled at home but couldn't decide what I wanted to do," he says. That's when Cabin Crew caught his eye.
In 2022, he joined our Manchester base with a simple plan: try it for six months and see how it goes. Spoiler alert - he absolutely loved it. "I can't imagine doing anything else now. I like that we do a mix of short, mid and long haul at Manchester and every day is different. One of my favourite parts though, is I still have a lot of friends working overseas so I get to see them on my layovers!" Now in his second winter with the recruitment team, he's done everything from assessment centres to college talks and career fairs. But ask him about a career highlight? "Definitely being placed to live and work in Iceland for a winter season during my repping days. It was always a bucket list destination for me and somewhere I was obsessed with growing up, so I was over the moon when I got that."
