Build a comprehensive foundation for Flight Operations

Modern airline operations require employees who understand not only individual operational subjects, but also how they interact within the complex environment of an Operations Control Center.

Our six-week Intensive Flight Operations Officer Training provides participants with a comprehensive theoretical foundation in the key disciplines relevant to Flight Operations, Dispatch and Operations Control.

The program is designed to build a structured understanding of airline operations and the role of a Flight Operations Officer. Over six intensive weeks, participants work through the essential theoretical subjects required to understand the planning, preparation, monitoring and operational support of commercial flights.

The course covers topics such as aviation regulations, meteorology, navigation, aircraft performance, flight planning, fuel management, operational procedures, flight monitoring, Human Factors and disruption management. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the interaction between these different disciplines and their relevance to operational decision-making.

The training is predominantly classroom-based and knowledge-intensive. The theoretical modules are supported by operational examples, case studies and selected insights into the working environment of a modern airline Operations Control Center. This allows participants to connect the knowledge acquired during the course with its practical relevance in daily airline operations.

The six-week Intensive FOO Training is offered as a standalone professional qualification program. It provides a broad and structured Flight Operations knowledge base but does not lead to a Flight Operations Officer licence and does not replace the theoretical or practical requirements of a formal licensing process.
